Company About Peloryn

We produce evidence,
not intelligence.

Peloryn is a maritime compliance company built in the Netherlands for the Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp corridor. We turn vessel and counterparty data into sourced, timestamped, defensible files — the kind that survive a banking review or a FIOD inquiry.

Why we exist

The compliance standard moved from checking a list to proving you assessed behaviour and ownership — and the tools didn’t move with it.

In 2025 and 2026, enforcement in the ARA corridor changed shape. The EU’s 16th package made it a criminal act to facilitate an unsafe tanker, pulling bunker suppliers, traders, and port agents directly into the sanctions chain. The Dutch FIOD started arresting service providers, not just shipowners. OFAC began treating vessel behaviour as evidence you were “on notice.”

Suddenly the people making fast, commercial decisions — the bunker desk, the charterer, the agent — needed to prove what they knew before they acted. A screenshot of a sanctions list wasn’t a defence. Enterprise platforms built for banks cost six figures and a year of procurement. And the free guidance routed every hard case to a lawyer.

We built Peloryn for that gap: serious, defensible vessel evidence, priced and paced for the desk that is actually exposed.

What we believe

Four principles, built into every file.

01

Evidence over alarms

An alert you can’t defend is a liability. Every signal we surface carries its source, its timestamp, and its confidence — so a conclusion can always be traced back to a fact.

02

Honesty over false certainty

Where the data runs out, we say so. Peloryn states “insufficient data” and marks the resolution boundary rather than guessing past it. An honest gap is worth more than a confident error.

03

The corridor over the globe

We model the ARA in depth — including the routine barge activity a global tracker mistakes for evasion — so an alert means something instead of crying wolf.

04

The desk over the enterprise

The person on the hook isn’t a procurement committee. Peloryn is priced and built so the exposed individual can clear a decision this afternoon — and keep the proof.

Where we’re from

Built in Rotterdam, for the ARA corridor.

The Netherlands is Europe’s most active sanctions enforcer, and the ARA is its front line. Being local isn’t a tagline for us — it’s the moat. “Built here, mapped to the law that applies here” is a claim a global platform can’t make.

Peloryn is the customer-facing layer over two compliance-grade engines — behavioural detection and an evidence-and-governance spine — focused entirely on the corridor and the European routes that feed it: the Dutch EEZ approaches, the North Sea, the English Channel.

A global tool can tell you where a vessel is. We are built to tell you whether its behaviour matters here — and to hand you the file that proves you looked.
